that is the case in many household, but if there is a day when commercially motivated people promote vulgarity in the name of love, there is no harm if a day is attributed to hayaa for informing people what are our roots.

When Punjabi men upset the wives the women beat their husbands with a velan(bailan). This happened so often the practice came to be known as "Velan Time"
To escape the beatings husbands gives flowerd gifts and sweets. After many years and language translations, it is now called valentine’s day around the world.
