valentines day (blush)

Re: valentines day (blush)

My mum and dad haven't been talking for about 4 days cause they had an argument, but today he made her breakfast in bed. Had a bunch of 24 roses! Chocolates AND if that wasn't enough hes taking her on holiday! :) she said she enjoyed her burnt egg, burnt toast, cold beans and watery tea haha.

lol!

Re: valentines day (blush)

None of hte chocolates/flowers/romantrick gift stuff but hubby did the sweetest thing for me today

Re: valentines day (blush)

^and that was ???

Re: valentines day (blush)

I want to know too!!!

Re: valentines day (blush)

You've captured my curiosity as well, Sara. End the suspense, girl! What is it that Mr. Sara did that was oh so sweet? It could even help some men who are clueless about romantic gestures ;-)

Re: valentines day (blush)

Nope, not telling. :D

Basically a tip for the guys: forget all the "commercial" gestures. I mean those are nice, but better is if you do something specific for ur wife. Much more meaningful and nice..better than any generic chocolate and flowers (though those are good!)

Re: valentines day (blush)

^ LOL, it's alright, Sara. We understand if you wanna keep it to yourself. Sometimes memories become even more special if they remain as secrets ;-)

And you're right. Commercial gifts are nice, but handmade/self-made gifts have their own unique charm:)

Re: valentines day (blush)

gift or gestures. :)

Re: valentines day (blush)

^ Or he filled the bathtub with your favourite brand of bubble bath and sprinkled some rose petals all over, lit some scented candles and invited you in?

Re: valentines day (blush)

^ Or did he cook your favorite dinner for you, get all dressed up, light some candles and surprise you?
