It’s our first Valentine’s together since marriage and I want to make it special, but due to our current circumstances, I only have access to a microwave and kettle (no stove/hob/toaster!) and limited ingredients - I have bread, nutella, fruit, cheese and biscuits…
I can get hold of a couple more ingredients if necessary, but could anyone suggest some Valentine’s themed breakfast ideas I can pull together with my limited resources?
Hot chocolate or Coffee, fresh fruits like strawberries and grapes, maybe strawberries with cream. Cheese platter with assorted cheese and toast or crackers. Or you could make cheese sandwiches.
2-Minute French Toast in A Cup add some fresh fruit or a fruit sauce after the egg mixture and before putting it in the MW to make it even more fancy
you can also make any kind of pancakes and french toasts in a microwave, oil a plate well and place soaked french toast/pancake batter on it and cook in the microwave.
you can make a trifle with either the microwaveable brownies above or using store-bought pound cake and heating up the custard in the MW the same way as the chocolate pudding (just use custard powder, sugar and milk instead of all those ingredients) add some fresch fruits, nuts, cream, layer everything that you can get together and there you go! Not fit for breakfast but you can make a dessert lol
brownies cut into heart shape, drizzle with caramel sauce/chocolate sauce/strawberry sauce
you could make a salad, in a bowl or on stick like this one. This is cucumbers, feta cheese, tomatoes and olives, drizzled in olive oil but you can use your own combination
Thanks for all the ideas guys! The coffee mug cake, and emergency brownies omg… so so good!
I can’t make all these goodies right now as I don’t have the ingredients (eggs…) but once I get home and have access to a kitchen, and FOOD… I’m totally gonna try these out!
Thanks for the ideas… I’ll try to post a picture of what I concoct tomorrow (as long as it’s disaster free!)
Sorry makd, I dont have a MW so I dont know if its authentic or not, but baking in MW is tricky, even a minute overcooked can turn into a disaster so you have to keep a close watch.
