Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

Please recommend a good vacuum cleaner. I’m looking for something that has good suction (capable of getting hair out of the carpet without me having to brush it out), isn’t ridiculously expensive and won’t die on me too quickly. Also, I’d prefer an upright, bag-less vacuum (but with a receptacle that is easy to empty out). I hope that’s not too many specifications!

Thank you for your help!

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

If you are willing to spend some serious money (500$-900$), get **Dyson

If not, get **Hoover or Dirt Devil (75$-200$)

Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

The Henry Hoover is amazing, lasts for years! Its probably around £150

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

Get the Dyson. You'll love it. It's easy to maneuver and very efficient. Also they have a lifetime warranty.

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

You can't get anything better than a Dyson. I want one so bad :(
I have a Hoover, it gets the job done but lately I've noticed the suction isn't as good as it was. I even changed the filter but it's like it used to be.

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

^get the Dyson Wendy. Seriously all the other vacuum cleaners pale in comparison. It has amazing suction power.

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

i bought one few years back and cost me $35 from walmart

abhi tak chal raha, Allah nazr-e-bad say bachaye.

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

Do you own one?? How does it work on hardwood floors? Does it transition well from floors to carpet?

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

bus vacuum na kroo, inshallah saree zindagi chaley ga :)

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

khe khe, har do haftay bad chalta hai aur main khsbho wala vacuum filter use karta hon. :D

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

Yeah it works great on hardwood and carpet. There is an on/off switch to convert from carpet to hardwood so you can't use the carpet setting for the floors or else the motor will burn.

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

I’m seriously considering this one:
Shark Navigator Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner, NV22L: Amazon.com: Home & Kitchen

It’s comparable to the Dysons, but is a fraction of the price… what do you guys think?

I really wanted to go for the Dyson, but my husband isn’t willing to spend $600 on a vacuum cleaner for a 1-bedroom apartment! And all the terrible reviews about their customer service have made me a little hesitant too… apparently, even though the vacuums have a 5 year warranty, if your machine breaks down, it either takes them months to fix it or they just don’t honour the warranty. :s

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

Yeah, we just got rid of our version of this. :) It was a dirt devil, and I hated it!

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

The fact that you dont take shower, this is not a luxury, its a need

Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

Dyson.. I have one and love it!

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

Dyson is too expensive. Any other suggestions?

Re: Vacuum cleaner recommendations?

[FONT=Times New Roman][FONT=Times New Roman]Hate dyson!! It’s very heavy, getsridiculously dirty, the brushes are awful, I’ve got the new dyson animal and Ihate it soo much, the suction is ok only if the brush has no dirt on it atall!! You’ll be spending most of your time cleaning the vacuum cleaner, morethan anything. good luck. xx

I have the shark and love it! Great alternative to the dyson!!
