^ it’s the same in the US, **except **that you can claim an exemption from vaccinations per religious/personal beliefs. You have to apply for a waiver from the State health department, and get a notarized affidavit to submit to the school. I have a few students in my kids school who have never received any type of immunization.

i think it’s not the case here in Canada regarding personal exemptions…in public schools, it’s mandatory…my niece recently was told to stay home if her vaccination records were not submitted at the school…there was NO mention of any exemptions. well, i think it’s in the best interest of the child to have him/her vaccinated against ALL known diseases. some people ignore travel vaccinations…i think it’s as important as regular mandatory vaccines. right?
