Right now is the time when families start making plans to visit Pakistan in the summer. To help compare fares and make recommendations about travel agents all over the US/Canada/Europe/etc, if you have good information/quote from your agent for tickets to Pakistan, please post here.
Let me start.
June 12: San Francisco - Washington DC - Doha - Karachi (round trip): $1,550 (adult fare) - including all taxes. Combination of United/Qatar Airways.
June 7: San Francisco - London - Dubai - Karachi (round trip): $1,665 (adult fare) - including all taxes. Combination of United/Emirates.
Some other useful tid bits.
Singapore Airlines from SFO is the priciest. About $1,800, including taxes.
Flying via PIA from New York can be cheaper (approx $1,500) including travel from SFO, except that there are very limited flights and if you miss yours the next flight can be several days later.
Different airlines have different dates on which peak period starts (i.e fare increase). Ranges from June 1 to June 15th. If you want to book travel for the best price, right now is the time to get the lowest fare in your class. These seats go fastest.
wow! man these flights have become expensive! I just checked makemytrip.com and shocked that JFK DEL r.t is $1320 on AA and 1371 on Kuwaiti! Guess consolidator can bring it down by a hundred or so?
Mid-August. Plus these prices include, where applicable a $25 extra charge if flight leaves on a weekend (Fri-Sun).
An additional FYI, peak period increased prices will go down mid-July for most airlines.
Stircrasy, just make sure that the prices include taxes. These taxes range from $410 to $460 depending on which European stop-over or if you skip Europe altogether. I am guessing the fare you quoted includes taxes, because flying from west coast to NY will add $300-400.
