Hi all,
My husband and I desperately want to go on a vacation some place nice and warm but the problem is we have a 6 month old baby and we can’t think of any baby friendly places to go…
We don’t wanna go to Walt Disney, not a big fan. We were thinking of going to Discovery Cove/Sea World/Busch Gardens in Orlando but then we won’t be able to take water rides and other fun stuff …So anyone know where we can enjoy with a small baby too? Please only suggest places in the US or Canada, thanks!
You are not a big fan of disney, but you can to the Disney resort - no them parks just relax in nice baby friendly pools, great hotels, boardwalk Disney.
If you want to explore.. you can put the lil one in bjorn and go everywhere.. at six months, he doesn't know much so it doesn't have to be kid friendly.. when he grows up then probably Disney and other places but for now he can be a part of whatever you guys do!
We are more into a lot of stuff including nature, hiking/adventure, beaches, amusement parks, shows, but I need suggestions on things we can do with a small baby, things that he can enjoy too...I know amusement parks and nature hiking is out of the question because these places have a lot of restrictions for babies. :(
hawaii?
What are some baby friendly activities we can do in hawaii??
Sesame Place

GTG, we like to explore so if there isn't much to do in hawaii then we'll be really bored.
there is a lot to do there.. check out Sara's thread in travel forum for some ideas!
if you like to explore, South America it is, I just dunno how baby friendly it will be but my husband and I are planning to go there soon so we can update you later :D
honestly don;t worry about baby.. he really doesn't care at this point so just go, enjoy, and have fun doing whatever you like.. how about leaving the baby with grand parents?!!? ok that was silly but I like the idea :$ (and yes I do plan to leave our baby with my mom and sister when we will go for hajj inshaAllah)
For parks, you can take turns to go on rides.. I saw that in LA when one parent stays with the baby and the other parent goes on a ride.. I will not enjoy that at all and may never do that but at least that's an option!
Oooooo South America...I wish!! InshAllah one day we'll get to go there but for now we want to explore places in the US/Canada first. Do update with pics and details when you guys go to SA!!
I can't leave my baby with anyone...I just can't imagine anyone caring for him better than I do!
Anyways, so far we thought about the following places but cancelled due to restrictions
Las Vegas - children not allowed inside casino's and areas where alcohol is served!
Smoky Mountains in Tennessee - Strollers not permitted on some trails/weather is unpredictable sometimes..
Yellowstone Natl Park- same as above...need to look up more info.
Orlando Discovery Cove/Busch Gardens/ Aquatica --- some restrictions for baby..
If you have a small baby, I would suggest to go to a family resort. There are many in USA. Resorts have so much to do inside that you dont really need to go anywhere. If there are amusement parks in that area, there are shuttles running back and forth all the times. Resorts have water parks and fun areas inside them, restaurants and all. Basically once you park your car, you never have to take it out till your day of departure (you may find an airport shuttle for the resort so you may never have to rent a car at all)
Seven Springs in PA (its on PA Turnpike, I think Exit 7), Great Wolf in OH (near Cincinnati), Sawmill Creek near Cedar Point (Cleavland area).
In my opinion, Great Wolf is the best for families. It has a huge indoor water park for all ages. Seven Springs is very scenic, very beautidul during spring/summer times. Sawmill is also good but best thing is that its very close to the cedar point and on the shores of Lake Erie.
