V for Vendetta

I went to see it because my husband is a comic-book fan and dragged me a long.

I was pretty surprised I enjoyed it. Held my attention the entire time. Anyone else seen it?

Re: V for Vendetta

^^Me, me. I saw it too cuz hubby dragged me along. I liked...it was intense, and kept me thinking long after it was over.

Re: V for Vendetta

It was one of those very rare films that is utterly intense all the way through. I loved it!!!

Re: V for Vendetta

My fiance and my brother watched it(not together) they both recommended it so now i just have to find someone who will go watch it with me :D

Re: V for Vendetta

I found it ok.

Nothing that special.

Mostly left wing hollywood Bashing Bush and his war policies, not that I don't find nothing wrong with that, but it should have been more balanced.

Re: V for Vendetta

^ That's true. That agenda was pretty heavy-handed.

Re: V for Vendetta

It was ok for me too. The story was good, the plot was good, but there was some bad editing and it moved soooo slowwwwwww in the middle.

Good thing I had the chance to see a sneak preview for free at my university, I would have been a little disapoointed if I had to pay to see this movie.

Re: V for Vendetta

Hubby dragged me along over the weekend. He enjoyed it and it really did nothing for me.

Re: V for Vendetta

Me likey.
Got boring in the middle but got better towards the end. Hmm, now that I think of it, I really really liked it. Natalie Portman was awesome. Agent Smith from Matirx(whatever his name is) was awesome. His voice really stands out and makes his character what it is. But dang it, did he have to fall in love with her? Jesus, the man got weak towards the end, actually left the decision to blow up the parliament upto her.

Re: V for Vendetta

by the makers of The Matrix..:k:
defenitly gonna watch..

Re: V for Vendetta

It was quite different and definitely had a very interesting plot. I liked it. :k:

Re: V for Vendetta

I have a copy of it given to me by someone
Im planning to watch it tonite.

Re: V for Vendetta

I loved this movie. I had never even heard of the graphic novels until I saw the trailer for the movie, but damn, that was an awesome movie. It was very enjoyable the whole way through. I never found any part boring or anything. Then again, I'm not nearly as critical of movies as some on here are.

Natalie Portmann is gorgeous (even without hair) and is very convincing in her role. The movie is very timely as an example of what could happen when a free people surrender their liberties to feel more secure.

Re: V for Vendetta

This was a wicked movie! 6/5!

Re: V for Vendetta

that was one intense movie. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I must say that Weaving's voice is so expressive. It has a great plot and a powerful message.

worth a watch anytime..

Re: V for Vendetta

V: Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

Movie was excellent. Loved it. I just hoped Hugo Weaving would show his face too for a scene or two atleast. I'm his biggest fan on gupshup.
