Many tribals located in Pakistan and afghanistan love to quote history that they were never defeated, and thus Americans and NATO will be kicked out too.

There are many flaws in this approach.

  1. Past success is never a guarantee for your future returns
  2. You need a super power (worldly) to defeat a worldly superpower
  3. You need safe bases outside the zone of conflict
  4. Airpower will destroy explode your @rses to tiny bits of smelly material.

Pre WWII invasions of Afghanistan didn’t have an air sport, so tribals were able to use the geographical terrain.

Not anymore. Airpower is not a guarantee for success but it is an awesome arsenal in the hand of modern commanders.

Afghans were only able to defeat Commies because USA helped in arming and training the tribals. Now that USA is there in Af-g there has to be another superpower to help Talibans. So far there is no country let alone superpower who is willing to support the tribals.

Af-gs were provided safe bases by the Pakistan gov during Commie invasion. Not anymore. What little there is in FATA can be bombed to smithereens in a very short time.

Thus the Tribals perhaps for the first time in their sad history will realize that “Past success is never a guarantee for your future returns”.

It is time for the tribals to quit living in an era of 500BC and willingly become civilized. Otherwise the world will continue bombing them into submission.

They (the afghans) had the support of a super power and they are having the support of super power and they will have the support of the super power and that super-of-super power is Allah swt and why they have the support of this super power because they follow what This Super Power has brought through Prophet PBUH and that's it.

There is a saying about Afghan soil: It doesn't suit the invaders.

They already are invaded. Times have changed. Its not about secularism or Islamism.

Even if it is, how can we compare Afghan warlords with the 313 you are talking about aasimtom?

Lets produce those 313 first and surely things will change.

Allah does not help those who do not help themselves.

How can we deny the fact that we are in 21st century and warfare has changed. Don't you think that media and education have become bigger jihads now. Not that I am saying war has no significance but fighting with stones and sticks against fighter jets is like committing suicide. I know some people may say that sahaba fought against the two superpowers of that time, but still those superpowers (rome and persia) did not have air power nor missiles.

Even if you go by Islam than according to Prophet (pbuh) sunnah you have to make excellent human beings first (like sahaba) and than those excellent will be able to think in these times to deal with contemporary issues.

Regarding Afghanistan, just dying and living in stone age without any education or even religious education is not taking them anywhere. The type of mentality they have is not producing any concrete results. Ok through their resistance they make the superpower leave, but what after that... they will fight amongst themselves as they did earlier.

This may be a conspiracy but certainly aligns well. US halped AGhans cause it didnt want its a** kicked in days interms of a super power and now its there cause it wants our A** in Pak......its tribal areas now be NWFP soon fellowed by Punjab and then the nuclear weapons.

Well, if the international intruders leave them in peace they will develop and succeed. Wars destroy everything, from your mentality to your soul everything and that's what unfortunately is happening to those people. I have seen Afghani people in Pakistani universities doing better than us Pakistanis. Remember Kabul use to be the hub for International Education and knowledge.

This is not about "Afghani" people, Afghans or Pashtuns, it's about Arab imported, ISI supported, CIA funded jihadist ideology that is responsible for all the destruction.

Yeh Afghanistan can be better controlled from outside, just like ISI/CIA did for decades, .. well Pakistan treat Afghanistan as 5th province, maybe still :slight_smile:

So please take your this so-called pride of graveyard of empires somewhere else, it was super power vs super power. Even still .. we all know why American-led NATO forces having troubles, some countries come to mind:
Pakistan,
Iran,
Saudi Arabia,
China,
Russia.

I agree to your points fully, we have to take care of Tribal culture + their support from Afghan warlords !

Control of Khyber Pass & Bajour Agency. It's enough to proof the incompetence of so-called Afghani resistance.

Long gone those days, when British sent 16000 soldiers and only 16 come back, ..

We the people of Pakistan understand that we are having problems on different fronts, but still situation is under our control. In coming months, the cancer of Talibanistan/Extremism/Afghani/Tribal resistance will be rooted out once for all. It has begin from Malakand/Swat Divison to the western borders.

It's high time, the Joker of Kabul (Karzai) + other Pakistani haters understand, if they wanted to live peacefully - they are all welcome, if not - by God we will vanish them !

Why 80 countries and their forces are only limited to the centre of Kabul only and are still sending their troops? Russia came in and went back with nothing in hands but a divided Russia. Americans and Brits came in and are now fighting for the economic recession which have threatened the American existence now with civil war about to start and soon will become like divided Russia. The mess created by CIA and ISI, is now haunting down the very existing of Pakistan.

And about that 5th Province, the time would tell us whether we are going to merge Afghanistan into Pakistan or we are going to loose NWFP and Baluchistan into the hands of Afghanistan. Well, by looking at the current situation and symptoms are leading us to the later outcome actually. Keep dreaming…

Where did i said anything about merging Afghanistan? Bhai mere first provide some basic necessities to Afghani people, and also take back more then 3 million from Pakistan and 1.7 million from Iran, then talk about anything else. As far NWFP & Balouchistan concerned, they are totally different issues:

NWFP: Malakand Division has trouble but will be taken care of it, long but too late. Please don’t confuse FATA with NWFP.

Balouch: I think you don’t read the news anymore, the trouble was from Bughti & Maari tribe. Bughti tribe choosen a new chief two weeks ago, and he is very much pro-Pakistani. Maybe installed by Agencies?

The idea that tribals have never been governed is kind of a myth that is strengthened by every invaders testament to the tenacity of their defenses. Even Alexander testified to their tenacity after he defeated them. They have been governed by many people including central Asians, British and the empire of Ranjit singh.

Now where did I say anything that Afghani people are going to come and take those areas. It's the intruders and their dirty agendas in Afghanistan who wants to see Pakistan that way; divided. And the indication of that dirty agendas and its implementation we see both in NWFP and Baluchsitan in the form of Talibans and BLA respectively, where Pak Army and Airforce are being used like a Police Force to get rid of both those thugs and as a result weakining our forces to protect the country in time of an open war by those intruders in Afghanistan and upfront from India.

People of Pakistan should understand the fact, any country in the world can't fight a nuclear nation.

After Pakistan become nuclear nation, now the war theater & way is changed, we have seen two examples on our eastern borders, where India brings million of troops but eventually they were drawn back.

Now our enemies will start insurgencies from inside us, that's what we are seeing. But as far unity of Pakistan concerned, that's least of my imaginations, coz it's not going to happened.

TTP & BLA like organizations pops up every where, in China, Turkey, Russia, India... etc..etc..

We have to crush them, and eventually fight back the same way, and i see some strategic gains. Specially the defeat of Tamil Tigers, now the news are coming: Indians/Tamil are claiming, SLAF planes were flown by Pakistani pilots.. and etc...

I meet a SL Army Colonel last month in a bar in Dubai, according to him: 80% of SL Army ammunition comes from Pakistan..

In Afghanistan, Pakistan still have strong influence, the problem is we are like Pakistan VS Half World, but eventually we will come out from this shyt hole and successfully .

I had the same belief my friend, but after the control of Khyber Pass & Bajour Agency. It’s enough to prove of their so-called tribal’s myth.

One more pointer, i was going through a list of our regional/local military commanders in FATA/NWFP, its good to see all of them are from same regions and speak pushto and understand the culture, because they grew up their.

I don’t know about Afghanistan, but our area’s are not going anywhere, until we let loose by ourselves :slight_smile:

^^^ But fact is fact, the people of those areas have been affected big time, specially the young children and their sweet dreams. I heard most of them have got mental anxieties and depression related cases. But we Pakistani are use to these things. Aren't we?
