John Eliyah, brother of Raees Amrohi, has always inpired me by his philosophical touch in his poetry. His poetry has so many moods simultanously.
My favourite from this poem would be:
khemaa khemaa guzar le ye shab
subah-dum ye qafila bhi kahan
aao apas mei kuch gile kar len
varna yuun hae ke phir gile bhi kahan
