It’s immature because why do you ned to go behind their back? That does not seem like adult behaviour to me.
I’ve never felt that I have default rights to my parent’s money. When I was too young to have my own money, I’d certainly always ask them if I needed it… I never took money from their wallets without their knowing.
By the age of 20, if you’re parents are well off, you’ll probably have a sufficient allowance for your needs or they will easily give you money/the credit card if you ask for it. If you’re parents are not that well off, then quite frankly, I’d feel embarrassed asking them for money when I’m old enough to earn my own.
