Assalamo-alaikum People!
I know that a person can use an inhaler while fasting. How does it goes regarding nasal sprays? I can def. feel it in my throat when I use it. Does this breaks my fast? Or does my fast becomes “Maqrou” (hope I spelled it right)
P.S I would really appreciate facts rather than opinions.
Its not that much of a quantity Maniac so i doubt it goes in my stomach. I do feel it in my throat or rather this part between my nose & throat. The thing is I have to take my nasal spray in the mid afternoon for my allergies. I dun see any point in not fasting just coz of one minor thing. All I wanna know is how minor or maybe major is this? isn't it better to fast?
If its used for a medical condition, I dont think it will break you fast. Your roza like your faith and determination is strong, in choti moti cheezain so nahee tootey ga.
Got me all confused now My doctor prescribed the spray because the medicine I was prescribed initially had very strong side effects. Jazak Allah Khair for the link though.
You should consult your scholer.
I am shia and follow Ayutullah Sistani and this question was asked:
**Question**: Is it permissible to inject a needle and the nutrient during the state of fasting?
**Answer**: Injecting a medicine or other via a needle in a muscle or the jugular vein does not invalidate the fast. Similarly using liquid drops in the ear or the eye does not invalidate the fast even if it caused an appearance of colour or taste in the mouth. Also the fast is not invalidated by using the spray that facilitates the respiratory process if the substance goes in the wind wipe and not the food pipe.

According to Sestani Sb its ok but i think we should also know the Khamena'i school of thought let me ask him too.
thanks buddy
I dunno who Ayatullah Sistani is & have never heard abt Khamena'i .
The thing is I would have consulted a scholar but the Shariah board here is closed for Ramadan. So.... I have somehow adjusted to taking the spray at Sehri time.
