I’m going to be traveling to Pakistan soon, and need to take (at the very least) my CHI flat iron (I don’t want to go around with big poofy, frizzy hair the whole time). Should I get a converter in the US or should I try and get something while in Pakistan? I don’t want my flat iron and hairdryer to explode and be unable to use.
What do I need to buy to use these appliances abroad?
U can either get an adapter from here and take it there or buy one from there. Same thing. U might find it cheaper there. I took one from here for about 10-15 dollars I think and my dad bought one from their for a few hundred rupees. The one from here was lightweight and small the one he got from there is a little large but very heavy. Up to you.
I would take one from here only cause I wouldn't want to go out shopping as soon as I landed for a converter. This way you will be able to fix your hair right away and not have to wait to use the straighter.
I slept in my office last friday :D I said i was going to pray in my room, shut the door, prayed and took a 20 min nap right on my praying mat. I was so sleepy that i actualy fell asleep in those 20 mins.
FF, i have to agree with FG...this is not first time you have admitted that you slack off at work...I remember you telling us about the document that you were tasked to fax and never did ....because you did not want to walk to the fax machine...:)
CB: How do u like the CHI??? I was going to buy a flat Iron from here and don’t know which one to get…Abt converter u can get a really nice one from CompUSA it can be used in many countries…US, PK, London…its really cool. I usually just take it from here so I don’t have to worry. By the humidity in PK is really bad and I think u should try to take a really good serum from here so that your hair can stay from frizzing as much as possible. I took my flat iron last year and it didn’t help… …but I only tried it once and that was during summer time (more humidity)…hope that helps
Pyaari, I love my CHI, although it doesn't work as well as when I first got it a year ago. It still works very well on taming and straightening my hair, but now I have to go over the same strands at least 3 or 4 times to get straight (as compared to once or twice). If you use a flat iron on a regular basis, it will damage your hair. It is definitely way better than all of the other flat irons I had tried, although if this one ever stops working I'm tempted to get the Sedu, for which I've also heard high praises.
Thanks for the info. I'll check CompUsa for the converter. InshaAllah, I'll be going to PK in December, so hopefully the humidity won't be as bad as summertime!!
^ Ya I am debating between the Sedu and the T3 Professional one from Sephora.....I was actually going to call my stylist and ask which one I should get.....heard a lot of good praises about the sedu....but i feel reluctant ordering it online.....
