I want to get the glow back in my skin, and I’m thinking of trying bronzer on my face. My skin color is in the middle (not fair, not dark), but I don’t want to look like a shimmery, sparkly wacko if I wear bronzer during the day. I want something very natural looking, but something that gives my complextion a kick.
Any suggestions on which products are good (i.e. powder, cream, etc.)? Also, what is the right method to apply (just on cheeks, nose, chin–to look more naturally sun-kissed?)
Revlon skinlights stuff is good. they have a whole line of products that make u glow, for all skin types, light-fair, medium, deep-tan, and natural light... it comes in face lotion, shimmery face/body powder, and some other stuff that i'm forgetting..
dont use cream bronzer as it will look fake.
i sometimes use nuetrogena's bronzing powder which is in a brick shape that has many different shades that all combine to give u a natural glow. Victorias secret, clinique, and lotsa other high-end ones also make similar powders with the brick pattern.
bronzer is supposed to be put on cheeks, down the bridge of the nose, across the forehead, and chin...but always blend well...it shouldnt scream "look at me i have on bronzer!!!!".
howevaaaaaaaa......bronzers are being re-invented spring 2006 ....they're coming up with pink hued bronzers that are much hotter and more girly....
Thanks everyone! Is it better to get a pinkish bronzer or orange? I'm thinking pink would be better for cheeks (since I turn pink when I blush--not orange), but if I applied it everywhere, then would I look like a lobster? What about orange? Would I look too unnatural w/ orange cheeks. I'm thinking orange might be better for areas other than cheeks? Confused...
Tikhi Jalebi--my mom thinks if I stay out in the sun for even a couple of min, I get kali. Her advice is to always use the lightest color makeup that was made! LOL--I wonder what she will think of this :)
How about trying something like a Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick? You can use it as a bronzer, an eyeshadow, a blusher and probably more too. The Apricot shade is very natural looking.
Why not try a good moisturizer that will make your skin ‘glow’ instead of using a bronzer? Also, drinking lots of water and getting a good amount of sleep (8 hours) does miracles for your skin.
Shahreen, I was looking into that, and wasn’t sure if I could use it as an overall bronzer. I loved the shimmer brick as an eyeshadow. I’m going to check it out this weekend. It comes in 5 different palletes, so I’m going to test each one at the makeup counter. I like the bronze, and beige.
