Using bad words

It is agreed by majority that using bad words in conversation are not good. Otherwise they would not be called ‘bad’ words.

1- Do you think there is even a slight bit of double standard that it might be acceptable to some extent for men to use these words during conversation than women?

2- Do you think if a man does use those words he is considered a ‘macho man’, and someone who avoids using these words is considered ‘naive’ or ‘sissy’ boy?
(Mind you, the man may be fully aware of these words)

3- Do you think if a man uses these words during usual conversation,

a- he is trying to either show off to be a macho man or

b- is trying to overcome his weakness in making a point?

c- He was brought up in an environment where he was too much restricted or too much neglected?

If a woman uses it, same questions.

Examples: using ‘f’ word or @ss, or @rse, etc.

Re: Using bad words

Diwana I strongly agree with almost all of your points . I find it a huge turn off when I find someone using an abusive language . I don't know but with the women it sounds even worse . May be we think of them as little delicate creatures and swearing sounds so bad coming from them .

Most of the time it just defeats the purpose . May be the only kind that is fine when you are with your very close friends and they do it jokingly . Just to make whole conversation funnier .

Absolutely, in men's company a lot goes on for fun... I ain't sharing here..lol

Let me clarify for girls/women, not everything which goes on in men company for fun is 'bad'.

.

Re: Using bad words

diwana ... i agree with wat u said

:)

Thanks.

Re: Using bad words

  1. there are double standards even for men who use these words and they react differently when those words are used for themselves by someone else.

  2. Not 'macho' but 'cool'

  3. 'a' and 'b'..... c: he was brought up in an environment where his family would use those words for him.

Re: Using bad words

^Yes, there is double standard, people commonly say "that's not lady like".
Men may feel uncomfortable marrying women who swear during usual conversation.

Re: Using bad words

Being a potty mouth is tacky, and sinful whether girl or guy. If you think you're cool while being a potty mouth, then you're just as stupid as those who smoke cuz they think they're cool.
