I was just doing some analysis over the useage of Gupshup.
What I have found is that the highest number of posts per thread are Cafe, Khail Khilari and Lifestyles.
General, Image Gallery and Pak Affairs are the next in line.
Compare the graphs you will see that so many posts are in the Cafe, however a lot of threads are there too.
In conclusion more people are likely to open threads and talk nonesense in the first three categories.
Also this reflects the Pakistani nation. Most Pakistanis are likely to be real guppies, they surprisingly favour arts and culture over religion and politics.
You can draw more of your own conclusions … enjoy!
The Data was correct as per date specified in the spreadsheet
Pysah bahi , why not do some Demographic profiling to study our user behaviour. psychographic variables such as personality, values, attitudes, interests, or lifestyles blended with demographic variables such as age and gender are key elments which affect our user posting process.
Why do they surprisingly favour arts and culture over religion and politics ?
In a nutshell , you experience less quarrel / dispute and high tolerance in people when they talk about art and culture and more or less they don’t discriminated less educated and unenlightened people like me in general and café forums . Where as in religion and politics , its matter of life and death for majority of posters . In politics , if you don’t agree with them you are traitor , Judas and fifth columnist while in religion section you mostly ended finding yourself infidel/skeptic . You know what I mean :)

Very good suggestions ... For that I will need to do more data collection
Interesting and I might agree with you but you also have to consider the age and maturity factor and along with that, you also have to consider that Posting in religion will not necessarily mean that you're a good muslim. And posting in Cafe and/or any other forums will not necessarily make you a bad muslim. It is not necessary that if a person doesn't post in Religion forum, it is because he favors other things over religion. But there are other factors that play into this too.
It is also possible that he/she is afraid to speak without knowledge and hence, avoids posting in religion forum out of the fear that by posting without knowledge, he might be in a way presenting things as Islam which might not even be in it. You didn't have that in your conclusion. It is also possible that he/she READS the threads and all the replies in Religion forums but just doesn't reply for his/her reasons. You didn't have that in your conclusion. It is also possible that issues being discussed in Life might actually have somethig to do with Islam in one way or another or making a person better. You didn't have that in your conclusion. :)
