Who uses them still and if you do, what client do you use to post/read articles?
Re: Usenet Newsgroups
I have only ever bought one application. That is Newsleecher it's totally cool.
Re: Usenet Newsgroups
I do... for some, I use the omea client, and others, I access through google groups.
Re: Usenet Newsgroups
I do but sometimes... as a hobby.
Re: Usenet Newsgroups
Agent or google groups
Re: Usenet Newsgroups
If u need to read only, then outlook express comes with windows. or you can use Thunderbird if u are a mozilla fan. For Binaries .... google for usenet bin pro .. or usenet bin client .. and it will list many.
Re: Usenet Newsgroups
Ewww, outlook express! (specially if you're doing binaries)
I use Agent Pro, I think I'm still with version 2.0. Nothing beats that (although I haven't tried Newsleecher, heard some good things about it).
Once you use usenet you'd forget about torrents. ;)
Re: Usenet Newsgroups
^^ Do you have a URL link for Agent Pro site?
Re: Usenet Newsgroups
Re: Usenet Newsgroups
google for texts
for binaries, i've used nbpro(xp/$) BUT nothing beats pan(linux/free)
Re: Usenet Newsgroups
Me and NBPro didnt mix very well. PAN looks good. Been using Newsleecher through WINE. One feature I think is very worth of the subscription, and couldnt live without is the Newsllecher Super Search - gets me what I want in seconds; saves me a fair bob in downloading headers too.
