I just tried to make aloo gosht using a pressure cooker ( i usually dont use one) and so i put the gosht, onions, garlic and masala in and some water and left it for 7 minutes.
When i opened it to add aloo my gosht had literally become like haleem
Can i add haleem mix and make it haleem do you think??
ohhh dear … were you already cooking the meat before you put it in the pressure ? i cant believe it got over done in 7 minutes
was it boneless? normally meat , Lamb ka , takes about half an hour to get done properly in the pressure …
Anyways what you can do now is , remove all the bones from the meat … in a separate pan mix a few lentils and add water … let it all boil … when daal is nearly done ( make sure it is the same proportion as the meat … add it to the meat , along with some haleem masala … cook it on low heat for 30 minutes and you will have a tasty haleem inshallah …
Kitchen Nightmares:everyday occurence for me! I can't cook salan roti, but that's what he wanted. the fish was cooked and all but was not very nice to eat. Cross between hospital and airline food (local airline like PIA not liek Emirates). I was grilling the fish to cook it before putting it in the salan so there's no smell to it... but i put it too close to the grill and didn't watch it, the baking paper it was on got burnt, the steel tray twisted itself, and the fish got tough. Poor thing still ate it
Ohhh the poor fish , may its soul rest in peace
Koi nai, KS09, hota hai … things may go wrong every now and then , but that is how we learn … you were attempting a very difficult dish , despite havng much experience with cooking different dishes , I still cant attempt fish :hinna: .. either it overcooks or undercooks
