I am looking for some cheap USB/X-drives. Can i get some good names to go by. Capacities i am looking at are anywhere above 300 MB-1.0 GB.

Might be out of your budget, but i'd recommend an iPod. Primarily as a mp3 player, but you can buy an add on to store data (it has a 6 media card slots also perfect to store photos from ur cam).
