gul-e-umeed khila tha bikhaR he jana tha

zameeN ka rizq huwey vasal-o-intzaaR k rang
paas-e-bahaR ye nasha uter he jana tha

haR ek safaR ki hadooN per tha aik auR safaR
tumhaRa sath na milta tu maR he jana tha

wo asiay naaz se guzRa k maiN bula na saka
ye auR baat nujhaY be udher he jana tha

safaR ki awaleeN shab maiN garaiz kar jata
usay ye hath agaR choR kar he jana tha
