USA: Shifting balance of power in this region

Re: USA: Shifting balance of power in this region

I must ask you are always this retarded Nav or is it when you post on GS? The fact that Pakistan sold the material is documented fact as is the fact that it was a govt to govt transaction. No different than what the US and India did.

Or is there a difference?

Bush will divorce Mush soon the honeymoon is over.

Re: USA: Shifting balance of power in this region

Well, I am glad India focussed on economics and education all these years to be in a strong position where our market and resources are sought after. Whether the nuke deal goes through are not, Bush's India is Great statements (and in equal measure, the Pakistan you're not India statements) have assuaged the long standing Indian 'pride' for acknowledgement. In this respect, Bush has had good advise.

That said, all the talk about regional power is meaningless. Almost all countries in the region for the foreseeable future will be dependent on the US and Europe ... where's the question of power? what do you do with 'regional power'? just a meaningless phrase in this region.

Finally, in a way I am angry and sad that the Indian pride has to come from a deal for nukes. I'd have much preferred that we do a deal to destroy all our nukes in return for destroying all of Pakistan and China's nukes. Now that would be a deal worth making.

Come on India, we have better class than the US.

Re: USA: Shifting balance of power in this region

Ok lets see how much you know about reality. We will take it slow for you.

What did the IAEA find in Iran that they traced to Pakistan?

Re: USA: Shifting balance of power in this region

U know India is in a great position to extort US now. As long as they keep their economy independent of US they have not much to loose. US needs them and they should reap the benefits while they have a chance. For Pakistan no matter what it is said, Indian economy dwarfs Pakistans'. Pakistan does not have a bright future until someone can loosen the stranglehold old generation politicans have there. I hate to say but Pakistan will soon realise where they stand. Once India's nuclear reactors come under some surveillance then next thing US is going to ask is for Pakistan to cut back its defence budget. Might be good if Pakistan uses it to promote education and economy but again I hope Pakistan is smart enough to do that. India has more leverage in the deal with US because US needs them more than India needs US. India has survived without US assistance nothing prevents it from going on without them. Having a deal only helps them. And with US now cooperating with India will put more pressure on Pakistan to reduce any threat towards India.
