I just finished the last pages of “Under the Sign of the Scorpion” by Juri Lina. Everything I’ve ever learnt about world history has been turned upside down by this book. I had always learnt and read that the USA fought Communists and even occupied some countries or financed them to keep the Communists away. Now I read something entirely different, about what was really going on behind the scenes.
Lina quotes official documents, other books and various articles. He sounds reliable. I’m still shocked after having finished reading and unsure what to think about everything now. It is a fascinating read for anyone interested in history.
