I would, for once, like to see the Pakistani authorities give a slap right in the face of these US ghundaz. But I am afraid that is precisely what they wont do and it might even be used by Mushy to get some more Amreekan blessings and prolong his stay in the power seat.

They should be more worried about Vikot Bout who somehow manages to escape everytime US is involved in efforts to apprehend him. british reports once indicated that planes owned by Viktor Bout were delivering supplies to US forces in Iraq. The same Victor Bout who as one of the most wanted men in the world and biggest arms dealer has armed everyone from warlords in africa to idlamic militants in middle east and afghanistan. But hey US taxpayers fattened Bout's pockets by about $60M because of his services for logistics to troops. \
The guy has been running arms for 15 years, and it was only in 2004, after the embarassing stories and diplomatic pressure that W sked treaury to freeze his assets.

I also dont understand why AQ khan is deemed dangerous when russia and former soviet republics cant even account for all their nuclear weapons including KGBs gift to the world of briefcase nukes..

what did people expect after the political drama in Pakistan? Who they think is pulling the strings or planting simultaneous news reports criticizing mush in major dailies around the globe.
“Democracy” loving Pakistanis should expect more. I wouldn’t be surprised if US demands Pak rollback work done by AQK.

No way GoP will hand him over. It would be the end of anyone's rule. I feel they may off AQK to fix this situation. You cant hand over a dead man.

Agree, poor guy might be let out of his house arrest and then accident. but don't forget the old dogs, they still have enough bite to take out any govt. that will hand him over.

First of all they are not asking to hand over AQ Khan instead they are asking for a direct access....so title of the thread is misleading. Secondly I dont think any government (be it Musharraf or any democratic govt of Pakistan) will do that. Thirdly I dont think they really want a direct access, at this point int time, they are just trying to pressurize Mushy's govt (which they do from time to time) and last but not the least, as Fraudia said, they should be more worried about Viktor Anatolyevich Bout who is spreading illegal arms all around the world.

btw let this be an eye opening experience for your folks too. i see too many indians jumping up and down that they will stand up to US one of these days. remind them of all this and that the day a punga is taken with US, it will swat y'all down.
PS: Us dinn quite do all it wanted in afghanistan and Iraq, talk to US military and political pundits. so its not always a case of what US wants it gets.

If he is an Indian then hes got lot of room to talk, Master slave and US India relationship is written all over their 123 nuke deal.. This is still far better then how cheap they sold India to USSR...

last i checked, US and India failed to agree to each others terms on the nuke deal. Unlike a certain slave nation, accepting soy beans happily for F-16 payments.
btw, didnt the US bomb Pak territory last night again? any chance of Pak ever summoning the US envoy, or will the US envoy be summoning head slave Mush to brief him on how Pak will accept blame, yet again?
