i don't seem to recall that Bush had mentioned this 'minor' aspect of imposing four US bases in Iraq. Must have just slipped his mind.
There should be no more doubt left as to the genuine motivations for this invasion. In all likelihood, these four bases will probably exist in Iraq for a considerable amount of time.
