This is the way it should be. No country should be allowed to put its own blind loyalty to the rebel colonies ahead of the EU’s position of the prohibition of torture.
This is also an interesting way to flush out which countries are in cahoots with the rebel colonies and torturing people for them. After all, if a country is not host and has not been a host to a US torture centre, it would have no objection to voting for the suspension of countries that host them.
Any country that votes against this measure will clearly be suspect.
BERLIN (AP) - EU Justice and Home Affairs Commissioner Franco Frattini warned Monday any EU nation found to have operated secret CIA prisons could have their EU voting rights suspended.
``I would be obliged to propose to the Council (of EU Ministers) serious consequences, including the suspension of voting rights in the Council,‘’ Frattini said at a counter-terrorism conference.
