US terror suspect tied to Pakistani Islamists

Yes, right now but if there is an attack on the US--and with 3 attempted attacks stopped in the past week alone there is a sadly decent chance one will occur--the gloves will come off, especially if the attack was tied to Pakistani Islamists. It is obvious the Pakistani government, which likes to talk about sovereignty, does not care about exercising its sovereignty. Several countries have faced the threat of internal terrorism and crushed it: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Russia, Indonesia, and the Philippines, to name a few. At some point they suffered several attacks in the past decade. When is the last time you heard of an attack in these countries? It is because they hunted down the terrorists in their midst. Pakistan, in contrast, allows them to run terrorist bases and roam freely in part of its territory. Pakistan has the ability but not the will to destroy its internal terrorist threat. If the US is attacked, the US will step in to finish the job that Pakistan has shown it is unwilling to do, largely because of domestic political support for Islamists, over the past 8 years. In order to crush them you have to attack them regularly and send ground troops...
