Junduallah is a banned terrorist organisation in Iran and Pakistan. It claims to be fighting for the rights of Baluch Sunnis on both sides of the border, particularly the Iranian Baluchistan and Sistan province. Despite Pakistan’s claims to the contrary, the country has always been suspected of supporting the group by Iran and this connection makes it difficult for Pakistan to cleanse itself of all such allegations.
In the past several of Jundallah activists if I recall correctly have faced trial and faced death penalties.
How risque it is for Pakistan to allow the Americans to use the group? or could it be that they have the tacit support of Pakistan.
