US studies Pakistan, Saudi N-ties: report

do pakistanis want share nuclear weapons with other muslim countries? or afraid to
do so ? or afraid it will bring more insatbilty to world peace.

Pakistan has had a long standing defence co-operation with almost all mideast countries. I dont think Pakistan will 'sell off' nuclear technology to anyone, but the fact remains that Pakistan, being perhaps the most advanced amongst all muslim countries (in terms of defence technology development), has always been courted by Saudia to take over the role of the protection of the kingdom, which of course include Islams holiest places. Anti-american sentiment is high in Saudia, and the saudi royal family, owing to its selfish interests, cannot afford to alienate the public too much. So I do foresee a gradual eviction of US forces, either by chance, or by choice. Already, US forces seem to be frustrated by the lack of, or decreased co-operation being shown by the Saudis in military arenas, and sooner or later they might be led to leave on their own. And if and when that happens, Pakistan, with its nuclear weapons, will be the most likely choice to assume the defense of the holy lands. Frankly, so long as the Israel-Palestinian issue remains, the risk to Islams holy places remains high as well.

How about U.S sell Arms to Israel & India?

Wouldn't that make World unstable?

I think this is more of propganda.... becuase in recent weeks I have been hearing a lot of anti-saudi sentiment being presented on TV and newspapers...
however... Akif does have a point that Saudi's are no idiots... they know very well that there populace is getting very angry at American presence and they need a replacement... since they will never fight there own battle... Pakistan is the best choice.. since our long standing ties... and they know Pakistani troops will shed there blood for the Holy places... the only other Muslim nation which may be termed as advance as Pakistan's.... is Turkey... and the Saudi's will never let them in...

A lot of Pakistani forces were in KSA back in 70's and even 80's providing training and helping them establish their military. Additional concerns about Iran/Iraq situation had prompted KSA to have many Pak soldiers there.

Rvikz, just because we arent giving them N technology does not mean we are scared... Just because you dont openly declare that you are Hindu terrorists and kill Muslims does not mean that you are scared to do that...

The US is "bugging out" of the Prince Sultan Air Base to move to a country not as Islamicentric as Saudi Arabia. This new US base is under construction now.
