MIRANSHAH ( 2009-04-04 09:01:39 ) :A suspected US missile strike killed 13 people on Saturday, including alleged al Qaeda, in North Waziristan region near the Afghan border, security officials said.
The strike hit the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, a semi-autonomous tribal area and a known hotbed of Taliban and al Qaeda, at around around 3:00am (2200 GMT Friday).
“The death toll is 13, including some foreigners, but information is very sketchy because it’s a town which is very remote,” one security official said on condition of anonymity, updating an earlier figure of eight dead.
Pakistani officials use the word “foreigner” to refer to suspected al Qaeda fighters, but the precise identities of the dead was not confirmed.
“Thirteen people were killed. At least 10 among the dead were militants,” a local official told AFP, also on condition of anonymity.
The local official said the compound that was hit belonged to Tariq Khan, who was described as a “facilitator of the Taliban.”
Saturday’s strike came three days after a US missile attack on an alleged Taliban and al Qaeda training centre, killing up to 12 militants.

but I got to admit...USA has been hitting these militants with extreme precision....either they got some very good means of monitoring these guys or pakistan is feeding USA coordinates to take out these guys
well mercenary 2k! look at the figure here who were killed in drone attck, 13 people including one civilian was killed. now thats right that militancy must be finished but you all traitors just keep focusing on only the talibans now tell me that what is the punishment of US AND NATO FORCES as one civilian is also martyred in this drone attack? is his life so cheap that the attackers and US forces must not be accountable for that?
and my life and day will also be spent excellent when i shall see lines of dead bodies of the foreign forces not by suicide attacks but after a war against US AND NATO AND OTHER TERRORIST FORCES AND INTELLIGENCE AGENCIZ!
We must weigh the results. If one innocent person killed if 13 animals get killed who would undoubtly had planned more attacks and killed thousands of other Pakistanis. Then I am sorry for her death but killing those 13 animals saved thousnads of innocent pakistani lives and if one innocent woman was killed. Then so be it.
And the only time you care about civilian deaths is when America kills them…but when your Taliban Nazis killed over 3,000 Pakistanis in a suicide campaign in Pakistan…you neither condemned it…nor called for any kind of action to be taken against them…

8 years of heavy bombardment on Afghanistan and still havent been able to find the planner, organizer etc. Why doesnt the US listen to taliban demand, pull its forces give them their land and leave Pakistan alone. By denying the taliban their land, Pakistan is loosing its own territory, first swat, then islamabad,... and so on. Pakistan's support to USA is getting us nowhere, only our leader get millions in aid and our civilians die.
The day USA purpose is over they are going to dump us and leave.
Talibanism is a monster created by US and now it can get rid of it and it become an ideology.

I am not saying that it is ok...but in a tough situation...you are left with very few options....
Example: When the Allies invaded Normandy on June 6, 1944, their warships shelled the Normandy area which killed 4,000 French civilians....but the warship shelling was successful in containing the Germans and allowing the Allies to establish a beachhead....
Its unfortunate that they died, but in war much must be sacrificed.....

Mybe its time for the Pakistanis to realize that they need to get rid of these terrorist scum from its society. Somthing that needs to be done regardless of whether or not america is in Afghanistan.
And the reason Americans cant leave Afghanistan, is because it will again be used as a safe haven for terrorists, who will again target Americans and western intrests.
And Pakistans support will get somewhere when Pakistan and her people realize that its in their best intrest to fight these terrorists.

But Who allowed these terrorists in Pakistan? Where was or govt, army and public when in OCt. 2007 when Maulana Qazi Fazlullah the leader of Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi (TNSM), a banned Pakistani Islamic fundamentalist militant group , along with its 4,500 armed volunteers, developed government in 59 villages in Swat Valley by starting Islamic courts to enforce sharia law. This is invasion of our country! they have burnt schools, hotels, tourist resorts, thrown acid on womens face who didnt obey them, where were the media and human rights then. NOw one video of swati girl has come and everyone is jumping in their seat, and wants to fight terrorism. Instead our Govt is thinking of a peace deal with these terrorist. This is literally giving up your country. What next Pewshawar and islamabad.
If a superpower like US can fight these terrorist, how can pakistan? Its like putting your hand in the beehive.
This situation got more tense ever since US forces in afghanistan, drone attacks etc.
Give them their land back otherwise they'll start pouring in pakistan. Remember Afghan refugee influx in 80s, except this time they are terrorist. If they are coming and settling here so easily then some from the govt. is supporting them, other wise which country tolerates such invasion.
US forces have failed to win this war, like they did in iraq or vietnam. What has US achieved? they must leave. If the taliban want afghanistan back, whats wrong with it, atleats they'll leave pakistan.
But Pakistani leaders cant say this to US otherwise they'll stop the billion dollar aid.
