Over the weekend, during one of the conversations, a gentleman made a comment that the latest estimate is that approximately 27,000 members of US armed forces sustained injuries in Iraq since the start of the war. While some may be minor injuries where the soldier returned to the war zone soon after, some are so severe that the soldiers are disabled for the rest of their lives.
