There will be no war. There was some exaggeration on our side but that was for a reason. Indians thought they could "probe" us with a few aircrafts but our response took care of that. But our civilian leaders and diplomats asked for low key response for diplomatic purposes and avoiding an "aggressive" image. Then if you recall, we started playing the issue down.
But the Indians did not learn from it - laathon key bhoot...
After our sources noted that Indians stated moving their strike formations across from Sindh, Kayani said - enough of this nonsense. We have been acting responsibly however. We have only moved the 14th Division from Bahawalpur to counter the Indian threat. This is a "defensive" unit. Similarly, we only moved air defence arty and conducted CAPs over cities for morale boosting and deterrence purposes.
Simultaenously, our Foreign Office has been holding several briefings for diplomats and Track-2 people (analysts, retired officials) from friendly countries. My mamoo retired recently as a diplomat and was present at a briefing on Thursday where proofs of Indian deployment was shown to everyone. We also informed them that only minimum troops needed to take over routine duties are being moved from FATA.
Media is hyping up the situation for obvious reasons. Plus all retired Generals need to be on TV to maintain their relevance. The reality is that Indians thought they could use the military threat to supplement their diplomatic campaign and it has backfired on them badly. Due to their "brilliance" Mumbai is temporarily forgotten and everyone is worried about a war.
They took 10 long months last time, we can sure wait you don't have to worry we know how to take care of rats.
Except that they're planning a surgical air strike. You don't need to take 10 months to conduct such an operation. Personally, I think they may use their navy as well.
JaanBaazz, you may be right and I hope you are, but what about next time there is another incident? Repeat all over again?

Well, I am sure the rats can and also wait for a nice juicy response from bad Pakis. Will you be still around if they repeat 2002 and crawl back in their holes? If yes I would sure love to hear your spin. :)
There will be no surgical or any other form of strike because any Indian attack on any entity that is within Pakistan is an act of war and will automatically result in disproportionate response from our side. No questions asked.
If there is another attack then things change only slightly. If the attack is clearly done by Indian groups with no links to Pakistan then India will not be able to do much. If Pakistani links exist then we will be under more pressure and if we act it will be because of US threats.
Bigger danger for us is any attacks on US, UK or Europe.

Why would my head spin? They may back down, I don't know. It's good if they do, but not nearly as convinced that they will.
Since so many of you think that mumbai was stage managed by RAW, they can also do mumbai part 2 and the pressure goes back on pakistan once again.

Ah, so the Interpol chief must be on ISI payroll or high on drugs...right.... Besides I never said your head spin unless you have a comprehension problem which I see in you posts... I said what spin are you going to use if the rats crawl back in their holes like they did in 2002.. you understand ?

Ok, I misread "hear" as "head". I'm not going to use any "spin". If India backs down, it backs down. But what about next time and the time after that? How long will this tamasha last? Who is benefiting MOST from this? Hint: their names starts with a T and ends with a N.

Oh this tamasha will continue until India addresses its internal home grown terrorism.. There will be many samjothas & Bombays and it will do the same chakka dance it has done in the past and doing today. The rest of your Ts and Ns and Ms and Is and Ss and Is are all for fantasy, I'll ignore those.
All it will take is one more attack in India, traceable (or not) back to Pakistan and we will be back to square one. This time only JuD was banned by the UN. Next time it will be the ISI.
The only long term solution is to deny jihadis a breeding ground in Pakistan. Harder to do, because of the deep connection of right wing Pakistani generals and ISI to jihadi gang.
UN survives on Khairat from America and don't forget UN is in the USA- USA always regards ISI as their ally since ISI helped Afghans gained independence from Russia- US's arch rival. ISI will never be banned by the UN or US.
^ Yes.. ISI has helped the US and America will help ISI and Pakistan by sending their forces in Pakistan- I hope that happens when Obama Hussain assumes power. Once US forces enter Pakistan, RAW agents which might be thousands in Pakistan will start peeing in their pants. US forces will find RAW agents which created and are helping Taliban in Pakistan and kill them. Everyone knows RAW created Taliban and are responsible for the trouble in the Swat valley.
You are correct on cautioning Pakistanis on global affairs. It is true that many of the posters forget the gravity of the situation and use bravado instead of using their heads.
However the cautionary words from you should not stoop to the level of maligning Pakistani army + ISI.
Sure Hameed Gul types have done their level best to bring bad name to the retired officers. However the ISI staff must obey orders from Army command and they do. Thus blaming ISI active duty staff to go against the Pak army direction is not correct.
Many fail to notice that ISI officers and jawans have suffered the most from Taliban. They have been lynched, and their eyes gouged, and ears chopped off by the Islamists terrorists. The current operation in Bajore started after 3 ISI officers were murdered by Taliban while these officers were traveling through Swat.
Many posters do not know ISI like many other military and paramilitary agencies is commanded by Pak army officers who are "loaned" to these agencies. Most of these officers serve 2 to 5 years and then go back to their army unit.
Therefore it is utterly false to talk about ISI officers as unruly mob that cannot be controlled by Gen. Kiyani.
Having said that, we must control our religio-fascist groups that are involved in heinous crimes against Pakistanis and others.
^ You wish :) p.s. if they really want to, I hope they strike their own terrorist camp in nine-zero Karachi.
I am amazed to see people supporting Indian strike in Pakistan, you disappointed me big time Spock, you really did. It is just like supporting US raids on FATA, Peshawar or any other parts of Pakistan. Nine-zero should be undone by Pakistan, not anyone else.
lol if you think im supporting Indian strikes in Pakistan, you need a crash course in detecting sarcasm. I am just pulling the legs of the MQM supporters who are hell bent on blaming Pakistan for this indian orchestrated drama.
p.s. those that call for the destruction of fata etc, they might get a taste of their own medicine when we talk about bombing their own cities for a change.

Pulling legs is okay but we should be careful and not support any foreign strikes in anyway, this is what Indian guppies are here to listen.

Its a matter of pride for Pakistanies that drones keep killing Pakistanies. Yes indeed Pakistanies have everything working for them. I wonder how long will a countries black mail last.
