US says: FATA no longer under the sovereign control of the Pakistani state

What this mean is that US is preparing to launch all out attacks on terror sanctuaries in FATA with or w/o Pakistani govt’s approval. We can thank Islamists for this and bringing America vs Arabs terrorists war into our country. So, the question is what can/should Pakistan do?

‘US entitled to strike in ungoverned FATA’

WASHINGTON: It has been claimed here that the United States is entitled under international law to take military action in Pakistan’s Tribal Areas since they no longer lie under the sovereign control of the Pakistani state.
This assertion was made by Stephen Cohen of the Brookings Institution at a ceremony marking the release of a new report on Pakistan by a US working group.

They need to prove that Pakistan has withdrawn claims from FATA’s control or show Pakistan’s statement to that effect.

Few days ago Hamid Mir of Geo made similar claims that some part of FATA are no longer under Pakistani control (probably he was preparing Pakistani awam for this propaganda) now a$wipes like Cohen making such statements as if FATA is totally out of control.
