US refuses to criticise Pakistan over North Korea claims

Washington, November 26
The United States on Monday refused to directly criticise key anti-terror ally Pakistan, as a row raged over reports that Islamabad supplied “axis of evil” member North Korea with nuclear weapons technology.
The White House stuck to a formulation which suggests that Washington believes Pakistan aided Stalinist North Korea in the past – but has not done so since signing up to President George W Bush’s anti-terror campaign.
“I think that September 11 changed many things, and a new government, if you will, and Pakistan is not always doing things that they used to do,” said Bush’s spokesman Ari Fleischer.
“And so, times have, indeed, changed. Not everything that took place years ago gets repeated today,” he said, noting, to support his contention of changed Pakistani behaviour, that Islamabad had dropped its former support for the Taliban.
"What took place on September 11 changed many things, certain things happened under different governments in Pakistan in a time period not represented by Pakistan today.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell says Pakistan has assured him it has not helped North Korea develop its nuclear weapons program in exchange for missile technology.
I say we share Nuclear technology with countries willing to isolate India, or to be our ally:)
We could certainly use Irani sea ports and air force landing fields incase it comes to that.
how much shame in shamelessness....! here is Powell talking about his 'command' to Musharraf:
"In my conversations with President Musharraf in recent months, I have made it clear to him that any, any sort of contact between Pakistan and North Korea we believe would be improper, inappropriate and would have consequences," he said. "President Musharraf understands the seriousness of this issue."

A moot point with the Muslim Burning Hindus :)
What else to do, what else to do. Looks like the Muslim Burning Hindus will have to put their celebrations on hold - Pakistan is still a front-line state, while the Muslim burning Hindus are getting a reputation for whining like a dog.
Hey balramram, planned any more hijackings or shootings in shopping malls? It has been at least 12 hours since the Muslim Burning Hindus blamed Pakistan and ISI for something or another :)

It was a tad more than just a rumour.
