I guess you are talking about alkhalids? well, for one, why would saudia buy third world tank when it can get brand new american tanks. More than the product itself, saudis also buy influence through the weapons purchases, but with pakistan it is just umm "tanks" with ukrainian engines. I don't think pakistan has capacity to build for outsiders anyway (20 tanks per year when army has to equip itself) so don't know what a random tweet of a topic here means

My opinion is that this is yet another manifestation of our national tendency to make excuses to hide our own faults.
The sad reality is that Pakistan is not an attractive country to make a major purchase of complex defense systems such as tanks from. There is too much domestic strife and international tension, both political and military, to be certain that the long-term supply of parts and service for complex equipment remains stable.
It's one thing to buy ammunition from Pakistan, as many countries do. It's quite another to make a major purchase such as planes, ships or tanks, which require a massive and stable logistics industry behind it.
Until Pakistan resolves its internal strife, and smooths out its international tensions, it will not be in a position to promote itself as a reliable arms partner.

Isn't it Pakistan's job to stop other countries from interfering in Pakistan? Btw, who told anyone that Saudis were buying alkhalids from Pakistan, when actually they would be buying Chinese tanks which might not even be up to mark for the Saudis. They can buy American, French or the german leapords or go straight to source : Russia for the second-hand Russian chinopak products.
