US Presidential Debates 2004

Also....was Bush Drooling during Debate?

What was that white substance coming out of his mouth every now and then..
He is not only dumb,He is gross too.

:(

You guys should have watched it on CSPAN, where they had split screen all the time. Bush looked so pathetic with his miserable smile on his face while Kerry was speaking. You could not tell if he was smiling or crying.

Bush is an awkward social misfit who can't control his reactions or emotions and appears much more immature than he does Presidential. He makes Nixon look downright palsy-walsy. How his maladroit demeanor can be construed as 'likable' by some is beyond me.

The majority of the polls showed that Kerry won the 3rd debate giving him a nice 3 and 0 record but that doesn't mean anything now as the next leg of the campaigning has begun.

Looking back at the third debate the Bush appeared too busy painting labels on John Kerry rather than offering his own vision of what he plans on doing the next 4 years if allowed to stay in office (exception was Bush’s offering of what he would do with Social Security). If that is a victory to Bush supporters then it’s time for them to take a step back and look at what they’re supporting.

As far as partial birth abortions why would Kerry vote against banning them? Because under the bill it wouldn't allow Doctors to perform them even if the mother would die without having one done. Even if the mothers life is in danger the doctors would not legally be allowed to perform the procedure, that's why Kerry voted against the ban.

Kerry bringing in Dicks daughter as example was fair but not necessary, will it be on the minds of the undecided voter to sway them one way or another, of course not.

Bush brought up education several times and how there is now testing so student don’t slip through and teachers are held accountable, what Bush doesn’t understand is that without providing the proper resources to schools you can test all you want and its not going to make a difference.

Bush’s Social security plan is plain scary, allowing young people to take money out of it would create a gaping hole and hurt senior citizens, its not a fix but in fact damages the system even more so.

Bush's jokes did not go over well with audience while Kerry’s remarks about 'marrying up' and the Tony Soprano remark played nicely.

Bush did do better than he did previously but losing 8-5 instead of 9-0 is a loss none-the-less.

There's really so much to get angry about with Bush and his administration's lies, but his crap about education and all he's done for it really really pissed me off. I mean, even the richest counties in this country have abandoned afterschool and extracurricular and arts programs. And don't even get me started on the poorer areas. This country's public education system was in a bad state four years ago. Now it feels ten times worse.

I can't believe he stood there and acted so proud of himself.

Well, at least he knew what Affirmative Action is this time.

Bush Sr. also had problems controlling emotions. Remember the looking at the watch syndrome? At least he had public speaking skills.

The way Bush moves his neck while talking he reminds me of some chicken trying to pick up corn

“eh eh ……America……need some wooooood?”

What exactly is wrong with being a Liberal?

From Merriam Webster..

Pronunciation: 'li-b(&-)r&l

Function: adjective

Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French, from Latin liberalis suitable for a freeman, generous, from liber free; perhaps akin to Old English lEodan to grow, Greek eleutheros free

1 a : of, relating to, or based on the liberal arts b archaic : of or befitting a man of free birth

2 a : marked by generosity : OPENHANDED b : given or provided in a generous and openhanded way c : AMPLE, FULL

3 obsolete : lacking moral restraint : LICENTIOUS
[obsolete term]

4 : not literal or strict : LOOSE

5 : BROAD-MINDED; especially : not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or traditional forms

6 a : of, favoring, or based upon the principles of liberalism b capitalized : of or constituting a political party advocating or associated with the principles of political liberalism; especially : of or constituting a political party in the United Kingdom associated with ideals of individual especially economic freedom, greater individual participation in government, and constitutional, political, and administrative reforms designed to secure these objectives

I think a great difference exists between Liberal and Extremeist....(as Ann Coulter defined herself)

The problem with being a "Liberal" in American politics is that Liberal goes with another "L" word: i.e. "Loser." It's not the GOP that has made that a curse word, it's the electorate. No DEM candidate for President can proudly wear that label and stand any chance of winning. That's why they run from the word and simply refuse to acknowledge what they are. Until the Reagan Revolution, you found all kinds of DEM's happy to promote themselves as Liberals. Now, they only do it in the closet with their closest liberal friends.

New Book Exposes GOP Election Fraud Scheme

Monday October 18, 7:40 am ET

NEWBURY PARK, Calif., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ – In his newly published book, “The Phony Fighter Pilot,” Hugh E. Scott, Vietnam veteran, ex-USAF pilot and lifelong registered Republican, tells how he found an official White House biography on a US State Department website that claimed President Bush had flown Air National Guard jets for almost six years even though USAF records indicated the actual time was just 27 months.
Because the false military history appeared to be unused GOP campaign material meant to defeat Senator John McCain in the 2000 primaries, Scott called the Boston Globe. Impressed with his discovery, the Globe ran the story the next day, on Feb. 28, 2004, under the headline, “Bush Bio on Web Inflates Guard Service.” Written by Walter V. Robinson, the article credited Scott as its source.

For the complete “Bogus Bush Bio” story and other evidence proving George W. unfit for command, go on the Internet and visit http://www.PhonyFighterPilot.com. To make his book available to voters before the November election, Scott posted the entire manuscript on the website for easy reading, no downloading required.

Because sons often emulate their fathers, good and bad, Scott also investigated Dub-ya’s daddy. He alleges Big George was a cowardly WWII Navy aviator who bailed out of his damaged Avenger warplane before radioman John Delaney and tail gunner Ted White could jump, causing them to die.

A retired Continental Airlines captain and former jetliner instructor, Scott is the only journalist in the past 16 years to interview Chester Mierzejewski, honorable and highly decorated Avenger tail gunner who watched Bush abandon his aircrew on September 2, 1944.

In 1988, after four decades of self-imposed silence, angered by then-Vice President Bush’s “heroic” embellishment of the ill-fated Chichi Jima bombing mission before the November election, Mierzejewski blew the whistle on him and was defamed by the vengeful Veep in return.

Like father, like son, Scott shows how George W. continued the legacy of bad Bush behavior by going AWOL during the Vietnam War and lying about it to get elected in 2000. Scott makes the case that if Dub-ya had served honorably in the Air National Guard and not boozed until age 40, which he admitted in his 1999 autobiography, “A Charge to Keep,” GIs would not be dying in Iraq like they did in Vietnam.

Oh yeah...the Reagan evolution....

Would that be the Reagan that advised ketchup packets be concidered a veggie before cutting subsidized school lunch programs?
