Hewitt is through to the final of the US open without dropping a single set along the way. Now that IS incredible. Poor Johnson did not know what hit him and three sets were over soon. Well played Hewitt :k:
I was rooting for a Roddick-Federer final all the way but Hewitt-Federer final will be as exciting. But first things first, Federar has to get past a rejuvenated Henman who has played really well to be in his first ever US open semi final.
Federer has breezed past Henman in straight sets. It should be a great final but Federer should win it because he is a more complete player and has been in tremendous form but then again he is meeting up with a former champ who hasnt dropped a set this year.
Lov Roger Federer... But I want Hewitt to win!!
am glad that the hard-hitting Roddick crashed out. He isn’t fun to watch and actually brings down the overal quality of tennis. How big a contrast is Federer: he is the only player who resembles Sampras :k:
Final was as comical and one sided as it could get. Federer absolutely took apart Hewitt with 6-0, 7-6, 6-0 victory. With that victory, Federer has become first man in the open era to win first four grand slam final, first man since Mats Wallender in 1989 to win three grand slams in an year. :k: :k: He surely will rise to greater heights, and probaly with age on hsi side he will challenge Sampras’ all tiem record of 14 grand slams. Right now, like it or not, its only Roddick who can consistently challenge him otherwise he is unstoppable.
:k:
I watched the Game live, and like you said federrer literally took Hewitt apart.
And to think that Hewitt has not lost a single set until he reached the finals.
Although in the second set he did look likely to come back, but the genius of Federrer got the better of him.
Mind you he may not have equaled Pete’s record, but he did play better tennis.
Congrats to Federrer.

One word – Brilliant
Now this guy plays like a champion. He is here to STAY!!
man you have some issues.
Roddick doesn’t have mental strength? he fought back down by 2 sets to nil - plus he was involved with Younis of Morroco origin in the Australian open(the match that went 5+ hours) - so don’t talk about mental strength blah blah
you talk about Roddick whinning eh? what about whinning of Hewitt yesterday? isn’t that ironic of you?
Agassi and Pete were in their own class - both didn’t have best of their careers once they hit late 20s.
well duh - explains the overall quality of tennis then - you find only Federer be original this point because he is a champ? what about David, Ferero?

That is why Hewitt lost yesterday..He is not US open champion nor world number 1..Federer IS. Are you thick or what?
well certainly i found you to be a thick head - i am not sure had you followed the game of Hewitt and Roddick for that matter but all i can say that neither Roddick nor Hewitt whined - they were fighting on points with refs on occasion - it's not them only - everyone has done this year open.
roger federer is a amazing player, the way he demolished hewitt's {come onnnnnnnnnn yellow aussie a$$} was truely a genious at work, solid groundstrokes and a gr8 allround control of each point of his own and hewitt's service game, i've never seen hewitt get beaten so badly before, come on rog' win the french open and become a gr8 amongst the elite u deserve it mate.
