Miss Kim did it! Well deserved..defeating Sharapova and Venus was not an easy feat. The final was a breeze. What a slap on Hewitt’s face.

Agassi is quite an inspiration. At the age of 35 he is competing and such a high level. almost every match is a marathon. I would love to see him leave the game with dignity unlike what Jerry Rice recently did.

Forgive my ignorance but did Kim and Lleyton break up??

And yeah Agassi won his forth conseucitve five setter. Amazing :k:

Aggasi vs. Federer today.... can't wait to see it. Its nice to see Aggasi reach the final... this could be a story book ending if he can somehow beat Federer.

Roger Federer becomes the first man in the open era to claim back-to-back US Open and Wimbledon titles consecutively for two years...

Can he win a slam next year? The only chink in his armor is the clay..lets see how he covers it up at the French Open

His backhand was really backfiring today, but the way he came back in the tiebreak in the third set and then completely smashed Agassi in the tiebreak and the fourth set was remarkable. You are right. Agassi kept peppering his backhand in second and third set but Federer did not let him in the fourth. It was great tennis. Agassi of yesteryears might have pulled it off but right now Federer has this aura of invincibility around him. Lets see what happens next year.

Props to Andre. I had given up on him but he fought throughout this event. IMO, he should hang up but I guess he’ll come back for ONE MORE YEAR!

The second best player ( okay a distant second) IMO was Lleyton Hewitt( has the split worked wonders for both of them?)
Vastly improved he matched Federer in quite a few rallies..The semi-final he played was the final of the open.

its just that i never found him that entertaining. his game was purely clinical play. he never gave a ****e about entertaining! but he had to what he had to do!..also i quite dislike him because he beat my Tennis hero Becker a few times!

as for the Fed Express: my oh my! what can be said! i absolutely admire the way he keeps his cool, even when things are goin against him!..and then lets emotion flow at the end when he wins! genius. was surprised at the amount of unforced errors in his game yesterday! but still! demolegend that he is, prevailed and beat the yank on his own patch!
