Afghan Officials Slam Pakistan as Details of ISI’s Role Become Clear

The Obama Administration has threatened to end billions of dollars in American aid to Pakistan if the Zardari government does not do something about claims that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Agency has been backing the Taliban.
Perhaps the most fascinating part of this is that the threat seems to be the first fallout from the WikiLeaks release of some 92,000 Afghan War related US documents.
Yet these documents were all between 1-6 years old, and while the leak was new the public it cannot have possibly been new for the Obama Adminstration. Officials must surely have been aware of all of this evidence over the past weeks, as they arrived in Pakistan to pledge large increases in aid.
Afghan officials for their part condemned Pakistan, though the ISI itself angrily shot back that the US allegations were “mostly from Afghan intelligence, so you can imagine their credibility.” The US documents detail a number of alleged ISI plots, including a claimed plot to poison all the beer in Afghanistan to kill Western troops.
Anyone who thought that US-Aid with stay after American pull-out from Afghanistan.. he is living in fools paradise..
Americans are the most unreliable characters on this earth.. they have long history of ditching their "Friends" and their is no reason they will not repeat it now...
The Presler-Amendment ( i hope spelling is right) came soon after Russian left Afghanistan and now they are making grounds to another amendment...
Good out govt and agencies never believed Americans and they continued to keep the relationship with all the parties..
The reports were with intelligence groups in US, it does not mean that US government was unaware. Unlike Pakistan, military or intelligent agencies are not out of the check of the Govt.
Present hype is being created by US to satisfy the global world of uniformity of american terror policies.
Has anyone read the documents yet? i was able to download the documents but its unzipping from last 50 min, 2.5gb of html has been spit out yet and not even half done.
Americans already have multiple trigger mechanisms in place in the current aid package. Once they're done with us, one of those triggers would become active overnight and we'll be left high n dry once again.
from my understanding the reason why the Pakistan authorities assist the U.S. is largely because of financial concerns. Aid, repayments of loans etc etc. Now if that is true surely Pakistan cannot afford to be complacent and risk the wrath of the Americans.
In my opinon certains groups such as the ISI may well still support the Taliban (especially if we are believe they helped put them in power in the first place)

Is it in Pakistans interest to see the Taliban in power in Afghanistan, or should the Taliban be defeated and Americans be supported?
The documents were with americans since 2004 to 2009 and they didnt do anything and now that its published, they threaten to cut aid.
Looks like the leak is part of carrot and stick policy.
Seriously man, this is not only funny but it is a big embarassment for Americans....as they already knew everything ....but as its public now they have started to scold pakistan. lol
Sure enough ----- It can be safely postulated that any events gone haywire in the world would indicate automatic ISI involvement.
Admittedly it is all a game of deceit, prevarication, dissimulation and swindle ----- all in the name of control of natural resources ----- the bitter truth is that innocent people get hurt from all sides ----- pretty despondent isn't it?
