**KARACHI: Iran's Armed Forces Chief of Staff Hassan Firouzabadi stated that the United States and Israel are seeking to undermine Pakistan's sovereignty.**
Chinese news agency Xinhua quoted the Iranian Commander as saying that Americans neglect the basic rights of the Pakistani nation and government and intend to impose (more) capitulation on Pakistan as (they have done in) the last 50 years.
Firouzabadi added that Pakistan has given the US Army its base and has been providing logistic support as well as intelligence sharing, but the US demand from Islamabad to ‘do more’ is unfair and has led to resentment among the Defense and Foreign Ministries of Pakistan.
The US has demanded that its military and auxiliary personnel in Pakistan should be given a status that accords with the technical and administrative staff of the US embassy so that these personnel be allowed to enter and exit Pakistan on mere National Identification i.e without any visas.
The US is also demanding that US criminal jurisdiction should be applicable to their citizens in Pakistan – another demand which has been termed by Pakistani observers as “US yearning for Pak capitulation”, quoted the news agency. –DawnNews
Re: US, Israel seek to undermine Pakistani sovereignty
I am sorry but what rubbish. The Iranian theocracy is amongst the, if not the, most oppressive regimes in the world, and it ill behooves a country like that which treats its own citizens with such reprehensible contempt to point fingers at others.
No problem, tell this Irani sympathizer, we already have a Shia Sindhi Dakoo to 'protect' Pakistan.
You my friend need to chill out. Being a Shia, or a Sindhi is a matter of pride for those who belong to either. As a Pakistani, one belonging to either one is my brother/sister.
Criticize the man all you want, no one will say anything to you, but please for the sake of harmony, let us not stoop to a level of division and disunity. Thanks
Now as for the topic, Iranian brothers should perhaps first stop the shipment of American goods through their territory using the containers wearing Canadian flags as reported a few months ago.
Re: US, Israel seek to undermine Pakistani sovereignty
Israel? That's a bit much.
The fact is, Pakistan does not have global reach, and is not of any concern to anyone other than regional players, and those who like playing great games.
We don't have to live all lovey dovey with israel, but please, can we at least develop a realistic view of that state, it's capabilities and intents?
Many of us love superheroes...I quite like batman...fully human, often fighting superhumans. I wonder if we Pakistanis fashion ourselves as a global batman, fighting super-powers, and their minion super-states.
This statement is not new for us but it is important who is saying this.
**US, Israel seek to undermine Pakistani sovereignty** ...
Shukar hai, Ayatullah shaib himself didn't say this. Otherwise challenging this gobble-de-gook cock-n-bull statement would certainly lead to banning nay accusations of blasphemy and thus liable of hacking to death the poor challenger.
It is not new that Islamists driven Iranian leadership (political dare I say) and thus by extension these pseudo-Generals live in fear of tiny meeny miny moe Israel,
and by making such statements they are hoping that Pakistan too should live in fear of Israel the destroyer of Arab and Irani false pride. And yes many talib-symptathizers live in Israeli fear. If in doubt just pick up the Lal-masjid to lallu-masjid Mullah statements.
So what's knew in the Mullah-led La la land?
(fear Israel, the Israelis are 10 foot tall 300 pounders who regularly beat the crap of Arabs and Iranis. Yes fear Israel. NOT!)
