Antiobl, I think It's high time to recognize, that we are not dealing just with one threat but with many. One of them is the US, India and Israel Itself. If we keep selling ourselves to them like this, then soon we will have no more power to restrain their threats. US change faces in seconds, we have had lots of examples in the past. One was Zia, the another Zulfiqar. Who is next?
I was just wondering where all these guys on GS have gone, who once used to blaME the same countries of hurting Pakistan badly. Being now on Mushys side, they have kept their voices very low.
Threat of India - Real
Threat of Israel - Far Fetched
Threat of USA - Imaginary
USA has patronized and protected Pakistanis since 1947 for very specific "Ideological" reasons. Our health and wealth has all been thanks to the USA. That was precisely because Pakistanis never believed in commie-leftie sloganeering a la Nehru (or Castro, or Chavez).
India on the other hand went the commie way and became an authentic Ruskie client. Once Commies went kaput, India realized that the world was pretty scary. And thus it began slow at first, and then quick 180 degree turn to the USA.
So now India wants to give USA all the military bases. In the name of nukie treaty, it has agreed to hand over every possible detail of their nukie program.
Indian commerce is now tightly linked to American industry.
So anyone who still raises USA as a threat against Pakistan or India is simply repeating ex-commie leftie lies.
Americans win when they make more money through their industry. And the last thing they want is to attack either their "long-term" ally Pakistan, or "newly-found" ally India. Nor they want India or Pakistan to fight with each other. Remember Collin Powell fired just one warning shot across Indian leadership during the India-Pakistan border fever, and Indians said Yes Sir Yes Sir three bags full.
So keep these leftie cockeyed theories alive, and you may get somewhere someday (just like the commies did some 15 years ago to i.e. doom).
