Time will tell. Economic estimates have started though.

But if it means centcomm will not be posting on gs then I won't be complaining :D

Its like an unpaid holiday for US gov employees. It will cost a lot of money that I don't know how but during the last shutdown it cost them billion plus dollars. They plan to continue running critical services so American public won't see a big effect. But if their embassies and missions shut down in Pakistan then it will give a hard time to Pakistani Government who will feel deserted in a strange land.

I'm sure it'll effect all the desis trying to get their visas.
I know there are many who hate America and will be glad to see this but these of problems will have an effect on the rest of the world. Where would so many people of the worlds people be without the economy of America. How would have Pakistan coped without American aid? Its all linked to their economy.

Pakistan does not need America or its Aid, since joining the US war in afghanistan in 2001 the Pakistan nation has suffered much worse, it should kick out all Americans especially US military and contractors like raymond davies network who are terrorists .

If the United States was destroyed economically it deserves it because its casino Capitalist economics is not a viable model an alternative is needed.

So why does Pakistan keep accepting the aid from America, why does Pakistan keep cooperating with a country which bombs it and kills its citizens as you have described the situation?

Well it's impacting me directly...I have a tenant in one of my rental homes who is a gov't employee...works for the Dept of Transportation and he's been furloughed...everyday this shutdown continues he doesn't get paid, nor can he file for unemployment..so how is he going to pay rent? I don't want to have to evict him if this drags out over a long period of time but what choice will I have?

For now, it's ok, because visa offices are partly funded by processing fees. They can keep going for a little while on those.
