This is a serious development on diplomatic front as India is grilled at congressional hearing over human rights abuse in Kashmir and Asaam. I think India is at mistake as trying to project itself as global power that can stand criticism and reaction of super powers.
India has good strategic relations with US as would want to balance China.
How far US can go in order to force India to refrain from pretending a bully state?

Thats something but overall I can see not making much progress. Any word that is uttered on Kashmir is due to the democrats who have a control over house and are very vocal on Kashmir issue. Republicans on the other side are running government and each one of them is just hungry for money. And money lies on Indian side. So no way in hell they will do much about it.
Just yesterday democrat member Ilhan Omar (a muslim) exrpressed her concern over Kashmir and conservatives were all over her as to why did she slam modi, a US ally. So yes atleast there is some discussion but overall its very grim.
What I want from Pakistani govt is to stop relying on US etc and do something about it itself. One way or the other.
US can not play role in Kashmir dipute.
Since shimla agreement made it bilateral, Indian official response always quote that. What they say, UN resolution has no meaning after new accord which is shimla…
UN is not reliable .. they have no standard… it only used by world’s power to manipulate politics and achieve their goal…
Pakistan only need to focus on economy and prove herself a reliable and self sufficient nation… for that Pakistan needs to run …
We know the human right issues will keep lingering in Kashmir. Highlighting human rights violations issues, I think we can persuade European countries to let us access their markets against India. They always show concern on child labor labor safety issues, why would they not react to human rights violation in India? Also, none of our govt has highlighted minorities oppression in the rest of India.
We too have issue in Baluchistan, but I think we should adopt same strategy as we do for Kashmir that be open to foreign media in Baluchistan as well. Just track and record the atrocities of militants and expose them to foreign media.
There are not that many Kashmiri’s as there are Widowed Mothers Abandoned by their own children …$40 Million widowed Mothers abandoned by Hindu Families!..:bummer:
