Re: US firms keen to construct 20 small dams in NWFP
But is it America which abandones Pakistan or was it Pakistan which made some very big & stupid mistakes.
I mean, the US coudn't understand why Pak had attacked Hindustan in 1965 when US was trying so hard to bring Hindustan into their camp. And you also know US only imposed sanctions on Pakistan after Pak cancelled the air bases contrct in 1967.
Despite the war in Afghanistan ended in 1988, US was still friends with Pak for 4 years after until 1992 when Gen. Aslam Baig asked US for more high-tech weapons or they'll give nukes to Iran!
Re: US firms keen to construct 20 small dams in NWFP
^^ The thing is that usually when republicans are in power, Pakistan gets the most benefit, and when democrats are in power, the benfits for pakistan go down (usually)
Re: US firms keen to construct 20 small dams in NWFP
Yes, I know Pak don't get freebies when democrats are in power but they don't break off relations with Pakistan. At the end of the day, for how long is Pakistan going to survive on Uncle Sam's scraps?
Why does Pakistan get upset if US stops the supply of freebies?
