Aren’t they the most friendliest bunch. I just adore their customer service and the friendliest attitude.. no pun
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
What's Propeller Head reference to Addullah?
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
Yes, they were very friendly on my recent trip when they asked me to step into a backroom and remove my dupatta so they can feel my scalp. I have never received a free head massage from a perfect stranger.
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
hahaha munni. Did the reckon u had explosives in ur hair?
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
See I wear a dupatta with a skull-cap type thing underneath it as you see many arab women do. I think they thought I might be hiding something under the skull-cap, but it was only my hair. Have no clue how someone can hide something in their hair, but oh well. I didnt mind.
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
UTD: It's an honorary title ..
lately, I had to deal with them a lot, not only on border crossings etc but on issues related to shipping stuff from the US..and man, they seemed like the most cordial of all Americans..took me all by surprise..I think generally Americans are far more friendlier and cordially responsive than the Canadians..
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
Most US Customs and Borders I’ve met are nice to me. The US ones at Toronto Airport, however, are a bunch of illegitimate offspring and female dogs ![]()
The nicest ones are in Cincinnati, Ohio. I actually like those guys.
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
Canadian border people are easy. Once you turn on the ol' British accent they are like charmed snakes dancing to your tune.... there's something to be said for the Queen's English.
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
Munni I go through it like every two weeks :-/
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
but with a name like Abdullah K, I am sure they are really nice...
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
i got to the US border at 3:30 am..and there were like 2 guards in total at the border. The guard at the vehicle check-in point asks:
g: 'where to sir'?
me: 'tacoma, officer'
g: 'what for?'
me: 'for a meeting'
g: raises his eye brows..'at 3 o clock in the morning'
me: 'yes..to beat seattle's rush hrs.'
g:AAAOKKK! looked kinda confused..'go on'
could it be any better..

^yeah they are horrible especially if they from Quebec
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
They didn't even check our passports when we crossed the border into Michigan, knock on wood ... we've been lucky although I have heard horror stories from others, we haven't experienced anything remotely negative thus far.
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
I think it depends on your status and whoes there. If you have american/canadian nationality espeically american, you are all set. I know people with pakistani/arab passports aren't given the same treatment.
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
I’ve had good experiences with American officers, even when on my own … it’s the Sikhni at Canadian immigration that hassles me each time ![]()
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
Canadians just like to think they are very nice and polite. I found no difference what so ever when I visited Toronto.
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
Canadians here are pretty cool.
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
I am a Pakistani with Pakistani passport and did have an encounter with them near South Padre. The American Americans in USCBP were very courteaous and helpful while the Mexican Americans were a bunch of a-h$l$s.
Re: US Customs and Border Patrol
I usually had to go through the special registration thing, and the officers were always very polite and apologetic. Maybe I've been lucky.
