waisay sarkar, if you go and talk to our army generals, they will tell you that russian arsenal is “bloody crap”. yes that i have heard it from the horses’s mouth few times. and all of our existing weaponry installed base is american. so it is not that simple

the thing is that US would “embargo” us if we even have to be in a defensive war with india; we have 70+ f16s now that could be cannibalized in such a situation for indopak war or “WoT” (US wouldn’t embargo because WoT progress is in their interest).

In fact, this is what Christine Fair has said that aside from (maybe) trade deal with Pakistan, give them nothing and also penalize them on their nuke program like it is a threat to america. I think that such an approach would be bonkers and counter-productive, so let us just drop the deal after this.

I know that Jolie would get mad on this rant against 12 jamaat pass (AP would be happy), but it seems that the elitist culture in the officer class of the PAF is to blame; PAF still bought Sabres in 1969 right after 1965 when US embargoed them right smack in the middle of the war; of course, another embargo happened in 1971 so aside from the mirages and 12 F-6s, the rest of PAF was in their bunkers. I have read that if IAF wasn’t incompetent themselves and had bombs like IDF’s paveways, a large portion of PAF would have been toast.
