US arms sales shoot to record levels

This is interesting,

US arms sales shoot to record levels - Americas - Al Jazeera English

Re: US arms sales shoot to record levels

But hasnt that been the case for a long time now? Since the days of the cold war, America has done a great job hyping up paranoia around the world, making governments around the world paranoid enough to believe that if they are not prepared for anything short of a nuclear war, they will be annihilated. Every few years, a new scapegoat is propped up as an excuse for the next ‘big’ war.
But hey, at least Israel gets it all for free.

Re: US arms sales shoot to record levels

it is a good bussiness, especially in corrupt countries like India:)

Re: US arms sales shoot to record levels

also for countries who accumulate petro-dollars and have no idea what to do with it. funnel it back to uncle sam for weapons that they will never get a chance to use.

Re: US arms sales shoot to record levels

pakistan is also involved in such corruption and media is not strong enough to confront military or arm forces unlike indian media.

Re: US arms sales shoot to record levels

The days of censorship are gone - Electronic media barks day in day out from around the world and no one can do anything about it.

Dr. Ayesha Siddiqas book Military Inc. Inside Pakistan's Military Economy - is an eye opener.

Re: US arms sales shoot to record levels

I appreciate your point but I don't think the problems between Iran and the Arabs can be blamed on the US.
