Crashed in 1971. In the Andes, in the snow, mountains, where the temps got to -40. Survivors had no food hence had to resort to eating the deceased to survive.
They survived miraculously for 72 days and got rescued when 2 of them spent 10 days walking to the edge of the whole mountain range and climbing over 15000feet.
Cannibalism to survive.

I wasn’t sure where to put this topic but since it had to do about survival…
If the survivors hadn’t tried to save their own lives, I would consider it suicide.
Cannibalism is an absolutely disgusting practice otherwise, but because the survivors had no other choice, they ended up eating their dead friends to stay alive and, as gross as it sounds, I approve of it in such extreme circumstances.
I ain't going to eat someone's ass, but maybe some other part of their body. They ate dead people to survive anyway. So it's not like I'm gonna kill someone to get their meat. So yeah, will do whatever it takes to survive. So YAY for cannibalism. :)
Have you ever watched the movies based on this even? It's called "Alive".
i hope i don't fly with any of you :p :D
there were no dead animal carcasses like polar bear or any animal or trees with stuff that's edible on them, why eat my friends? looking for my vomit smileywondering why we don't have one
I saw the move ALIVE and the documentary and it was only for survival. There is a documentary on youtube with the real characters, who went through it and it is very touchy and they say, it was not an easy decision but it was the only 'food' protein they had at that time, otherwise they would have died too. A GREAT STORY
What they did was not easy, but they did what they had to do to survive. If they hadnt done that, they surely would have all died. I find it horrible how much people judged them for what they did
