In Islam, only three days of mourning is permitted. And there is no room for birthdays. In Islam, we have aqiqa.
This is not found in Quran and Sunnah so definitely an innovation which leads to Shirk i.e. calling upon others other than Allah thinking they are all listening and all knowing and all powerful like Allah.
Its indeed a grave worship.
