Hi,
My aunt is terminally ill, she is on her last stage of cancer, doctor told she has no more time then few days. Her daughter is applying for visit visa with her husband. What document she is required to apply for visa,
marriage certificate
birth certificate
doctors letter
Passport
NIC
What else she needs more to complete her documents, please guide, thanks in advance.

if it's that urdgent, you must contact the concerned US embassy to get a personalized, accurate and up-to-date info.

Updates;
Today they had an interview , the US Embassy refused the visa application, they didn't pay attention to the Doctors letter, they just replied u both are newly wed couple, may be both of u will not come back here. Even they didn't check the job documents and sponsorship letter.

i'm so sorry to hear about the visa refusal...i dunno what other recourse she might have...how about she re-apply on compassionate grounds? i don't even know if such considerations are even entertained by the US Embassy.

To be honest, U.S and European embassies in Islamabad are there to make money by charging heavy fees and conducting bogus interviews. Sometimes I wonder why have they opened embassies when they barely issue visas.
U.S is so strict with their visa policy, it's easier to get to heaven than U.S and guess what, the person still gets detained at the port of arrival.

thing is this she should apply alone for the visa. If the both apply they will get obviously doubtful for their return no matter whats the reason behind. Better for her to apply alone n send an appeal. I ve seen the case in my belonging she got visit for her sister's help. She was married but applied alone. Better to do this rather than applying together. It makes sense

Now, finally family took decision to let aunt back to Karachi, aunt and younger daughter are ready to go back, arranging airline ticket for them , may be tomorrow or Monday they will fly back to Karachi, she is not able to travel, but they have no more options, May Allah bless her with strength and heatlth Aameen. Please pray for her.

if money is not an issue, i would suggest her to travel in business class. may Allah make it easy for her and the family...aameen

^ u r rite KKF, they are spending $ 10000 for a business class ticket for her, she also needs oxygen during travel, so the family will try to do best for her, In Shaa Allah, we r going to meet her tomorrow, ASAP they will get the tickets they will fly.

We went to met her on yesterday, she was too much weak, not able to talk, just open n close her eyes in the response of every question, in midnight she was shifted to the hospital becoz her lungs are filled with water, Doctors removed the water, she felt better talk little bit but gradually her heart beat increased and increasing blood pressure and then Doctors said it's the last time, today at 8:25 am, she is no more with us ( INNA LILLAHI WA INNA EALHI RA'JEON) May Allah rest her soul in peace Aameen. Plz pray for her, tomorrow is her funeral in Chicago.

i'm really saddened by her passing away. i thought she was going to Pakistan. i was expecting a good/better news. she took a turn for the worse and met up with her Creator, Allah.
May Allah bless her soul, forgive her sin, if any, and grant her jannah...aameen...i also pray to Allah that He give strength to bear this great loss. i pray that the loved ones she left behind, especially her daughter in Pakistan, will have the courage and strength to go through the transition. aameen
