In order to overcome the disastrous flood in Pakistan, the Pakistan TPS (Temporary Protected Status) Bill has been introduced. This bill is a humanitarian effort to help Pakistan fully recover. It gives legal status to illegal Pakistanis in America allowing them to go to Pakistan and aid the victims while also recognizing them as legal in America so they are able to have jobs,etc. Pressure is being put on the bill because it is the first bill directly aiding Pakistan after the flood. Currently nations of Haiti, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Somalia, and Sudan are beneficiaries of the relief provided under TPS . In order to ensure the passing of this bill a petition to President Obama, Secretary of State Hiliary Clinton, and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano has been brought forward. Along with signing the petition yourself, please send it to your family and friends because every person counts!
